Home GBSN Africa Business Concept Challenge. Kick-Off Event: Unleashing the True Potential of Entrepreneurship. Investors, Mentors and Judges. GBSN, sponsored by Stanford Seed and AACSB International and supported by Peaqs and Em lyonis pleased to present a virtual business concept competition for African undergraduate and graduate students.


The competition will challenge student teams to design a viable business concept that addresses a locally-relevant challenge or problem related to sustainable development and Agenda In addition to making the Top FIVE slots of the Africa Business Concept challenge, these teams will be offered a one hour professional mentoring session with professional African Innovation Hub Leaders offered by AfriLabs.


AfriLabs is a network organization of innovation centres across 49 African countries. They support hubs to raise successful entrepreneurs that will create jobs and develop innovative solutions to African problems, african business plan competition.


The sessions can be scheduled any time after the competition at the best convenience of the teams and the entrepreneurship mentor. GBSN will coordinate with the mentors and the teams to schedule the sessions.


The focus of this Challenge is to promote and support responsible capitalism for emerging markets and aims to identify high potential young people for mentorship and investment. General Information The competition will be virtual and take place during a 4-week period April 12, — May 1, Teams must consist of two to four members, where at least two must be current students at an African institution at the time of the competition.


Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. Each participating school must provide one mentor for every team it enters in the Challenge. Mentors will help guide teams and enrich the learning experience.


One of our objectives is to build a community platform for learning—not just a competition but an opportunity for mutual support.
